I’m not even a big creator. There is no reason to lift my stuff besides being extraordinarily lazy, and looking at this persons videos, they are clearly that.
It may just be a logo, and there is another youtuber with the same name, but I’ve had this name and logo for a facebook page/group for me to shit-post memes with since 2013.
It’s really not a huge deal. Hell, I wouldn’t have even known this existed until they reached out to me, on one of my livestreams, to ask if I was “CHeat their channel”
Their account was started Sep, 28 2020. My most recent blog post (I know, I’ve taken quite a bit of time off) is from May, well before that. This site, with the logo has been mine, and online representing me since 2013, and now I’m being accused of ‘cheating’ someone over it. Is it a big deal? No. Is it still frustrating? Yes.
I know their is another youtuber that goes by “Glorious Geek” and want to say that I have no problem with them or anyone else that wants to go by the name. I fully support everyone and anyone being a Glorious Geek, but blatantly ripping someone off, and having the cajones to call them the cheat really isn’t at all what I would hope for in a Geek community, online or off.
I’ll leave it at this since I don’t yet know what my next steps are. I’ve reported the channel as impersonation. Made a few comments on the videos I maybe shouldn’t have, but it’s youtube, isn’t that what the comment section is for? It’s not worth linking to their channel even, but feel free to subscribe to either of the real Glorious Geeks, found below.
Peace and Love, The Geek
